FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How to take care of my tattoo?

  1.  Leave the Recovery Derm Shield on for 4-5 days as recommended by your artist. It will protect your tattoo during it's healing process. After the 4-5 days, gently peel away the Derm Shield back over itself. This will work best while under warm, running water. Once it has all been removed, wash your tattoo with unscented soap and warm water. Use unscented lotion for the remainder of the healing process..
  2. Apply fragrance free moisturizer twice a day, but don’t put on another bandage.
  3. Gently wash your tattoo area twice a day with soap and water and gently pat dry before reapplying the antibacterial/Vaseline ointment.
  4. Keep applying a moisturizer or ointment after you clean it to keep it moist.

Please avoid swimming, hot tubs, baths, sun exposure, gym equipment or shaving for at least two weeks while your tattoo is healing. You have an open wound and are more susceptible to harmful chemicals and bacteria that may interfere with your healing and your overall health. Please also try to avoid your pet touching your fresh tattoo. I know its hard, we love them so, and sometimes they can be rambunctious and excited to see you. If by chance your dog or cat touches, or scratches you , wash your tattoo immediately.

If your tattoo scabs a bit or develops hard layers, don’t worry. It’s normal. But never pick, scratch, or peel it. You could get an infection or remove the color. If you think your tattoo is infected, or isn’t healing properly, go see your doctor.

How much will my tattoo cost?

Tattoo prices vary depending on factors like the size, complexity, placement, and the artist's experience. Artists typically charge by the hour or a flat rate for certain pieces. It's best to discuss your budget and design with the artist during the consultation.

Is getting a tattoo painful?

Pain levels vary from person to person and depend on the tattoo's location on the body. Areas with more flesh and muscle tend to hurt less, while areas over bones or with less flesh can be more sensitive. Most clients find the pain manageable and temporary.

How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?

Initial healing usually takes about 10 days, but full healing can take up to 3 weeks. During this time, it's important to follow aftercare instructions to avoid infection and ensure proper healing.

Can I get a tattoo if I have a medical condition?

If you have a medical condition, it's important to consult with your doctor before getting a tattoo. Inform your tattoo artist of any conditions, allergies, or medications that might affect the procedure.

What if I want to cover up/reword an old tattoo?

Cover-ups are possible, and few artists specialize in this type of work. Not every tattoo concept will work for a cover-up project.

Bring your old tattoo and ideas for the new design to your consultation, and your artist will assess the possibilities.

Do you offer touch-ups for faded tattoos?

We offer $10 touch-up we did within 3 months. Certain areas finger or hand tattoos touch-up is necessary. We’ll include it for the second session. The price you’ll get during the consultation

If we didn’t do the tattoo, we’ll offer you an hourly rate offer for a touch-up.

Can I bring friends or family to my appointment?

Yes, you can bring friends or family to your appointment, but please limit it to no more than two people. We want to maintain a comfortable and focused environment during the tattooing process, and having too many people can create distractions.

Kids under 12 years are not recommended to attend the appointment; however, if you are able to supervise them closely, that's okay.

What happens if I don’t like my tattoo after it’s done?

Please review the tattoo design thoroughly before execution. It's essential to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the design

If you don’t like your tattoo after it’s done, it’s important to discuss your feelings with your tattoo artist as soon as possible. They can provide guidance on options for touch-ups, adjustments, or cover-ups if necessary.

Do you do consultations, and are they free?

Yes, we offer consultations, and they are typically free of charge. This is an opportunity for you to discuss your ideas, ask questions, and collaborate with your tattoo artist to plan your design. We encourage you to take advantage of this step to ensure you feel confident and comfortable before your appointment.

How should I choose the placement of my tattoo?

Choosing the placement of your tattoo depends on several factors, including the design, size, and your personal preferences. Consider how visible you want the tattoo to be and what areas of your body are meaningful to you. It’s also good to think about the pain level associated with different areas and how the tattoo might change as your body ages. Your tattoo artist can provide advice and suggestions based on their experience.

What should I wear to my tattoo appointment?

Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the area you are getting tattooed. If you're getting a tattoo on your arm, for instance, a short-sleeve shirt or tank top would be ideal. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, as you might be in the studio for a while. Avoid tight-fitting clothes in the tattoo area, as they can irritate the skin during the process.
